Codemasters Holdings PLC (LON:CDM) said on Friday that it has released its Project CARS 3 video game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via the Steam digital games platform.
“Project CARS 3 delivers an authentic motorsport simulation with real-world driver assists that cater for all levels of driving experience. The game boasts the biggest car roster in franchise history with over 210 vehicles, including new brands such as Bugatti, Dodge and Koenigsegg. The game also features the Lotus Evija which makes its debut in a video game and takes players to new locations including Tuscany, Havana, Jerez and Interlagos”, the developer said in a statement.

The company also said that another title in its racing games portfolio, DIRT 5, is scheduled for release from October 16, the firm’s first title on the next generation of game consoles.
“Project CARS 3 has been a labour of love for our Slightly Mad Studios team, and we are proud to share their most ambitious title with the racing community. The game boasts the biggest and most exclusive car roster, new exotic locations, and delivers the ultimate driving experience that takes players from weekend warrior to racing legend”, said Codemasters chief executive Frank Sagnier.
“We are impressed by Codemasters ability to keep trading strong despite the government lockdown restrictions easing and believe that it is well placed to secure further growth in key areas of the video games sector”, analysts at broker Shore Capital said in a note.
Shares in the company were up 0.8% at 392p in mid-morning trading.
